About Wheat-RegNet

Wheat-RegNet: Multi-evidence Supported Wheat Gene and Regulatory Element Encyclopedia Network. The wheat genome was published in Science in 2018 (International Wheat Genome Sequencing, et al.). Its size is about 16G of which 93% are non-coding regions. These non-coding regions may contain a wealth of regulatory elements that regulate the expression of their target genes. At present, it is still a challenge to find the regulatory elements of genes based on epiomics, because the regulatory elements may be thousands of kbs away from their target genes.Based on ChIP-Seq (Wang et al., 2021) and Hi-C data (Concia et al., 2020), we identified a total of 224,829 regulatory elements, and built the platform based on the data to provide users with possible regulatory elements for searching their genes of interest and genomic region.

For gene query function, wheatRegNet provides REs which associate with the gene, and RE's position at the chromosome、histone modification、RE type(active、repress、poised)、Hi-C contaction, correlaction, P_value, regulatory score, pi and motif information. wheatRegNet can also provide the specific distribution of these REs in different tissues. For genomic region query function, wheatRegNet will analyze which REs are contained in the genomic region and which genes are regulated by these REs, and which motifs these REs contain.
